The Annual MMIV Conference - Diploma to Giulia Monopoli
During the Annual MMIV (Mohn Medical Imaging and Visualization) Conference ProCardio PhD fellow Giulia Monopoli from Simula was awared with a diploma for 3rd place in the Poster Competition. The MMIV was held in Bergen for the Seventh time, in collaboration with PRESIMAL (a national network for precision imaging and machine learning).

The conference focused on advancing cross-disciplinary research in state-of-the-art imaging technologies like preclinical and clinical high-field MRI, CT, and hybrid PET/CT/MR. The MMIV aims to innovate in quantitative imaging and interactive visualization to predict health and disease progression, emphasizing feature detection, extraction, and prediction.
Bringing professionals together
The conference aims to bring together professionals from a wide variety of fields, such as radiologists, pathologists, engineers, and data scientists. Industrial partners who have a strong focus on medical imaging, AI and clinical applications, such as Siemens, Phillips, Sectra and GE Healthcare, also participate.

Poster competition
Giulia presented a poster titled "Deepvalve: The First Automatic Detection Pipeline for the mitral valve in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance" and won a diploma for 3rd best poster.
