Clinical Trials Unit

Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) is a regional function offering guidance and research support in all phases of academic clinical research – from idea to publication.

The department offers free advicing and guidance in data management, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), health economics, clinical and statistical research methodology, monitoring, protocol writing, and patient-reported outcome measures.

We provide various courses within our fields of expertise and offer services for a fee to researchers across the region in data management, health economics, monitoring, and statistics in clinical trials.

If you are planning a clinical trial and need assistance throughout the process, please start by submitting the contact form.

Reception and Coordination

When the CTU receives a completed contact form, a dedicated project coordinator will manage the subsequent process. Based on the information provided in the form and the type of trial, the project coordinator will assemble an advisory team with the required expertise. The project coordinator will invite you to a meeting with the team to discuss the trial and identify your support needs.

Following the meeting, you will receive minutes, relevant templates, and links to useful information. If applicable, the coordinator will also provide cost estimates for research support services from the CTU.

The project coordinator will serve as your CTU contact person throughout the project, consulting other experts as needed.

Payment

The payment for the various tasks we can perform in a clinical trial will depend on factors such as duration, complexity, and the number of centres involved. Here, you will find some examples.

Enquiries to the different functions in the CTU or the project coordinator can be sent to ctu@ous-hf.no. Please also see an overview of our staff (in Norwegian).
