Cardiomyopathy
Inherited cardiomyopathies are heart muscles diseases caused by genetic mutations with the most feared outcome of sudden cardiac death.
The progressive nature of the disease requires lifelong follow up, often with a malignant trajectory. Progression of disease is an important marker of increased risk of sudden death implying the need of a prophylactic ICD.
