Work and education
Oslo University Hospital is home to Norway’s largest team of health professionals. The hospital has a nationwide responsibility for a number of national and multi‐regional assignments and national centres of competence.
We employ professionals within a wide array of diciplines, and we are always looking to recruit the most competent staff members. If you are passionate, motivated and at the top of the game within your field, you might be our next team member!
At Oslo University Hospital our 18 333 FTEs (full time equivalent positions) treat over 1 million patients a year. We perform over 53 000 surgical procedures, and patient treatment takes place in more than 40 different locations. Among the health care we provide is treatment of severe injuries ‐ multiple traumas, cancer treatment, transplants, treatment of heart arrhythmia, childbirths and gynaecological procedures with keyhole surgery.
Providing highly specialized treatment requires highly skilled and dedicated employees. As a university hospital, guidance, training and education of professionals is also a major part of our activity. We play a major part in national knowledge building and professional networks and reference groups exist within most of our disciplines.
Through our collaboration with the University of Oslo, we are proud to facilitate no less than three Centres of Excellence located at our hospital. We also collaborate with various university colleges and a number of national and international research partners, and provide research support for hospitals in the South‐East of Norway.
Our quality of service rests on the principles of equity in health services and continuous monitoring and dissemination of results. Working here requires the ability to always seek to learn and improve yourself, commitment to our values and ethics, and the motivation to always go that extra mile to give our patients the best care possible.
